As schools begin implementing e-learning initiatives, there is a great deal of uncertainty about how to deliver high quality instruction that mirrors the instruction students would receive in a brick and mortar school. As shared on the 5/11/15 HECC listserv, when asked about e-learning days, Dr. Candice Dodson of IDOE states, "The most important thing to remember is you should not be preparing for inclement weather days....but redesigning teaching and learning to be blended on ALL days and then the virtual option falls in place." This session will take a look at best practices for blended learning and e-instruction, strategies and resources for teachers to implement high quality blended learning in their classrooms on a regular basis, and professional development options for supporting teachers as they transition to this new instructional model for learning.
